We are recruiting for a Sports Coach / SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Custom House, East London. This role is ideal for someone with experience working in a school setting or with young people who may require additional support to succeed both academically and personally.

The Role

You will be working closely with students who display challenging behaviours and require extra guidance to help them stay engaged, focused, and on track with their learning. Using your relationship-building skills, resilience, and positive attitude, you will provide tailored support both inside and outside the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.


• Helping pupils remain engaged with their learning and achieve their potential.


• Building positive relationships with students and acting as a mentor and role model.


• Assisting teachers in managing behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.


• Supporting students during lessons, break times, and intervention activities.

• Experience working in a school, sports coaching environment, youth setting, or similar role.


• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.


• A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.


• Passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning.


• A desire to progress within education and SEND support.

Competitive daily rate of £100 - £130 per day

Full-time role, 5 days per week
