About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity within Trafford SEN Advisory Service to deliver training, advice and information to schools and early years settings to implement the SEND Reforms and support the inclusion of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

As a SEND Inclusion Consultant, you will demonstrate evidence\-based practice to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people with social communication and/or sensory needs, including those who are Autistic. You will contribute to the Local Authority statutory processes and Trafford strategic SEND priorities.

About You

Your approach will reflect our values and behaviours. You will be committed to learning and continuous improvement, working collaboratively with others to deliver high quality services.

You will take ownership of your work, strive to get things right first time, and learn from experience to make meaningful improvements. You will enjoy taking responsibility for resolving issues and adapting how you work to make a positive difference.

You will have proven experience of leading and developing staff supported by strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will have proven SEND Education experience and demonstrate neuro\-affirming practice. You must hold a relevant Teaching qualification.

  • An enhanced DBS Check with children/adults barred list will be required.

  • In this role you will be required to schools and settings across Trafford and occasionally beyond the Trafford Borough. You will be asked for a copy of your driving license as part of the recruitment process.

  • You may be required from time to time to work outside core hours, in which case Trafford’s TOIL Policy would be applied.
