SEND Case Officer – Oxfordshire
Pay rate: £250–£280 per day
Contract: Locum
Working arrangement: Remote, with office attendance usually required once a month

Pertemps Social Care are currently recruiting for a SEND Case Officer to join a local authority team in Oxfordshire on a locum basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering routine and ongoing monitoring and statutory processes for children and young people with Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans, ensuring all work is completed accurately and within statutory timescales.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage routine and ongoing statutory processes for children and young people with EHC Plans.


• Coordinate and complete Annual Reviews within statutory timescales.


• Manage Phase Transfer processes.


• Support cases involving children and young people moving into or out of the county.


• Respond to routine enquiries from young people, parents, carers, schools and wider professionals.


• Manage complex casework where required.


• Support processes relating to Tribunals and Mediation.


• Maintain accurate records and ensure all casework is completed in line with Local Authority policies, processes and systems.


• Work collaboratively with schools, families and relevant professionals and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a SEND/EHCP environment.


• Strong understanding of EHC Plans and statutory SEND processes.


• Experience with Annual Reviews and Phase Transfers.


• Understanding of complex SEND casework, Tribunals and Mediation.


• Excellent communication, organisation and case management skills.


• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work to statutory deadlines.
