Your Role as an SEN Tutor in Bridgwater**, **Somerset


  • Specialist Tuition – Offering creative child\-centered interventions, collaborating and working towards a personalised package of academic, interest\-based and mentor\-focused support for learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN)and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).

  • Creative Interventions – Use flexible strategies to improve engagement, build confidence, and develop social and emotional skills.

  • Multi\-Agency Working Collaborate and communicate with families, professionals and the wider team, to promote the best interests of the child.

  • Monitoring Progress – Record and report tangible examples of the student’s work, targets, and development throughout the provision.

SEN Tutor Job Requirements


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) –A recognised teaching qualification is required.

  • Experience – At least 3 yearsof teaching/student support experience – experience working with SEN, SEMH learners is ideal but not essential.

  • Commitment –A genuine passion and dedication to supporting vulnerable children and young people in need of your support.

  • Communication Skills – Strong ability to engage effectively with students, families, and professionals.
