Your Role as an SEN Tutor in Highbridge, Somerset

Specialist Tuition – Offering creative child\-centered interventions, collaborating and working towards a personalised package of academic, interest\-based and mentor\-focused support for learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).

Creative Interventions – Use flexible strategies to improve engagement, build confidence, and develop social and emotional skills.

Multi\-Agency Working – Collaborate and communicate with families, professionals and the wider team, to promote the best interests of the child.

Monitoring Progress – Record and report tangible examples of the student’s work, targets, and development throughout the provision.

SEN Tutor Job Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – A recognised teaching qualification is required.

Experience – At least 3 years of teaching/student support experience – experience working with SEN, SEMH learners is ideal but not essential.

Commitment – A genuine passion and dedication to supporting vulnerable children and young people in need of your support.

Communication Skills – Strong ability to engage effectively with students, families, and professionals.
