Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers in delivering tailored lessons that meet individual student needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment
- Assist students with autism and other disabilities in developing communication skills, social interactions, and daily living activities
- Provide one\-on\-one or small group support to help students access the curriculum effectively
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher or SEN coordinator to promote positive conduct
- Facilitate activities that encourage social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence among children with special needs
- Monitor student progress and report observations to the teaching team to inform ongoing planning
- Support with toddler care routines where applicable, including basic personal care and emotional support
- Prior experience working with children in educational or care settings, especially within special education or SEN environments
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is highly desirable
- Knowledge of teaching strategies tailored for children with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, teachers, parents, and support staff
- Experience working with young children or toddlers in care or educational contexts is a plus
- A proactive attitude combined with patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet each child's unique requirements
