Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a primary school to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs, including those displaying challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to support engagement
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
- Support the creation of a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
We are looking for a resilient, confident and compassionate individual who:
- Has experience working in a Primary School SEN setting (essential)
- Has experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour (highly desirable)
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills
- Is patient, adaptable, and proactive
- Can build strong rapport with pupils and staff
- Has a team-focused approach and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Competitive weekly pay (£14.25–£15.50 per hour)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
