Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support – Year 1, ADHD) Location: South Shore, Blackpool (FY4)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 1 with ADHD at a welcoming and supportive primary school in the South Shore area of Blackpool (FY4), starting in September 2026.
The Role You will work closely with a pupil who requires additional support to access learning, maintain focus, and regulate behaviour within the classroom environment. The role will involve:
- Providing tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day
- Supporting the child’s academic, social, and emotional development
- Implementing strategies to support attention, engagement, and behaviour regulation
- Building a strong, positive relationship with the pupil
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO
- Promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Has experience working with children with ADHD or additional needs (school-based or similar setting)
- Is patient, resilient, and nurturing
- Has strong behaviour management skills
- Can adapt learning and communication styles to suit individual needs
- Is committed to supporting every child to reach their potential
- Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant – desirable but not essential)
- Ongoing support from a dedicated Teaching Personnel consultant
- Access to CPD and training opportunities, including SEN-focused courses

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
