SEN Teaching Assistants - Secondary Girls' School (East London)

HAYS Education is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist secondary girls' school supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs.

The role will include:

• Supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEN and complex needs


• Providing 1:1 and small-group support within the classroom


• Assisting pupils with learning, communication, independence and engagement


• Providing personal care where required


• Supporting pupils with mobility and manual handling


• Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEN team


• Maintaining a safe, positive and supportive learning environment

Essential requirements:

• Degree educated


• Previous experience supporting children, young people or adults with SEN is desirable


• Comfortable providing personal care


• Willing and able to undertake manual handling


• Patient, resilient and confident working with pupils with complex needs


• A genuine interest in developing a career within SEN education
