The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. Every day is different, but your support can make a huge impact on a child's learning, confidence and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing 1:1 or small group support
- Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs
- Helping students stay engaged and focused during lessons
- Building positive relationships based on trust and consistency
- Supporting emotional regulation and social development
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
- Is calm, patient and adaptable
- Can build strong relationships quickly
- Has a positive and proactive attitude
- Communicates clearly and confidently
- Is passionate about supporting young people to succeed
