SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (July Start) East Lancashire | July Start | Full-time

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in East Lancashire from July 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and play a key role in helping them access learning in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs


• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning plans


• Support children with a range of needs, such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech & language difficulties, or SEMH


• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons


• Help create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment

What We Are Looking For • Experience working with children, ideally within a primary or SEN setting

• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential


• A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
