Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in East Lancashire from July 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and play a key role in helping them access learning in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning plans
- Support children with a range of needs, such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech & language difficulties, or SEMH
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Help create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Supportive leadership team and experienced SENCO
- Committed to providing high-quality support for children with additional needs
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
- Ongoing CPD and SEN-focused training opportunities
- A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement
- Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles
- Experience working within supportive local schools

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
