Do you have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and want to make a genuine difference every day?

We're looking for passionate, resilient and caring Teaching Assistants to join a specialist education setting in King's Lynn, supporting pupils across both Primary and Secondary age groups.

This is more than just a Teaching Assistant role—it's an opportunity to help transform the lives of young people who need consistency, encouragement and someone who truly believes in their potential.

About the School

You'll be joining a specialist therapeutic school that provides full-time education and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 5–16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your Role

As an SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.

  • Building trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced challenges in education.

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider school team.

  • Encouraging independence, confidence and personal development every day.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD or other additional needs.

  • A calm, patient and positive approach.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are happy to apply for one.
