Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive in the classroom? We are looking for a caring, patient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Brixton.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, helping them access learning, build confidence and develop socially and emotionally within the classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEN setting


• Be calm, nurturing and adaptable in their approach


• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills


• Be confident supporting children with a range of additional needs including; ASD, ADHD, speech & language or SEMH needs


• Work well as part of a team and use initiative when required

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils during lessons and activities


• Encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviour


• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO


• Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment


• Assisting with emotional regulation and social development where needed
