Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking nurturing and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils within a specialist SEN school in Sheffield.
This is a very high-needs setting, supporting pupils with complex additional needs who require a high level of care, patience, consistency and individualised support.
The Role • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with complex needs.
- Support pupils with SEN, SEMH and additional needs.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Support emotional regulation, wellbeing and positive behaviour.
- Assist with learning, communication and personal development.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider school team.
- A genuinely nurturing, patient and empathetic approach.
- Confident working in a very high-needs environment.
- Able to remain calm and consistent when supporting challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Previous experience in a specialist SEN setting is desirable.
Please note that the daily rate can also vary depending on the individual school's available budget for each position.
