SEN Teacher Opportunity - Specialist Autism School

Reed Education are supporting a specialist autism provision in the Guildford area to recruit a qualified SEN Teacher for an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist setting that supports autistic pupils through highly structured teaching, clear routines and personalised learning approaches. The school is expanding and looking for a dedicated teacher who can create an engaging and predictable learning environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

You will be teaching a higher-ability class of autistic pupils working predominantly at upper Key Stage 2 and lower Key Stage 3 levels. While many pupils are academically capable, they require specialist support with communication, transitions, sensory regulation and daily routines.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

• Teach a class of autistic pupils across a broad curriculum.


• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.


• Develop structured routines and visual supports to promote independence and reduce anxiety.


• Adapt teaching strategies to support communication, sensory and processing differences.


• Lead and direct Teaching Assistants within the classroom.


• Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting.


• Work collaboratively with families, therapists and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for pupils.
