Are you an experienced and compassionate Support Assistant looking for a rewarding morning role where you can make a genuine difference?
We are recruiting for a dedicated individual to provide one to one support for a pupil in Plymouth with medical and behavioural needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident, proactive and experienced in working with complex needs.
Key Requirements
- Medical training with experience in diabetes management
- Strong experience supporting pupils with challenging or complex behaviour
- Physically fit and able to respond quickly to ensure pupil safety
- Calm, patient and resilient, with a positive and consistent approach
- Previous SEN experience is highly desirable
- DBS on the update service is advantageous
- Provide consistent one to one support during morning sessions
- Monitor and manage medical needs, including diabetes care
- Support emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
- Ensure the pupil’s safety at all times, including responding to attempts to leave supervised areas
- Work collaboratively with school staff and follow individual care and behaviour plans
- Competitive hourly rate of £14.61
