SEN Secondary Teacher – Full Time (September Start)

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking to make a real difference? Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic Secondary SEN Teacher to join a supportive and specialist setting in Salford from September on a full-time basis.

This well-resourced school supports pupils aged 11–16 with a range of special educational needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and complex needs. The school prides itself on creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs

  • Support pupils with diverse learning profiles and promote independence

  • Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents/carers

  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to support development

  • Promote social, emotional, and behavioural growth

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

  • Experience working with SEN pupils (school-based or specialist setting preferred)

  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive practice

  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
