SEN Early Years Practitioner
Hours: 32\.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Term Time Only (39 weeks per year)
Salary: £26,175 FTE (£13\.42 per hour, actual salary pro rata)
Location: Woodroyd Nursery, Woodroyd Centre, Bradford, BD5 8EL
Woodroyd Nursery and Children's Centre is an independent registered charity delivering Ofsted\-rated Outstanding early years education. We are seeking a caring and experienced SEN Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team in our enhanced provision room.
About the Role
As an SEN Early Years Practitioner, you will maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, and learning, while delivering individualised support to help each child achieve their full potential
Key Responsibilities
· Support children with special educational needs within the Enhanced Provision Room.
· Provide individual and group support to promote children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
· Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that meets children's individual needs.
· Follow the graduated approach to SEND, contributing to support plans, reviews, reports, and EHC assessment requests.
· Work collaboratively with parents, colleagues, and external professionals to support children's progress.
· Maintain accurate records and monitor children's development and outcomes.
Essential Requirements
· Relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Experience working with children in an early years setting.
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Knowledge and understanding of autism, sensory processing needs, and strategies to provide a low\-stimulation learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of inclusive practice and personalised learning approaches.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
· Term\-time only working pattern (39 weeks per year).
