SEN / ALN Teaching Assistant (Primary & Secondary) Location: Pembrokeshire, Wales
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Day-to-day supply

Pay: £92.63 per day

About the Role Teaching Personnel is proud to partner with a range of schools across Pembrokeshire, recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN / ALN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional learning needs.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people, supporting them both academically and emotionally.

You will support learners with a range of needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

  • ADHD

  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)

  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD)

  • Physical and/or sensory needs

Opportunities are available in both mainstream schools and specialist provisions, working either 1:1 or with small groups.

Key Responsibilities • Provide tailored support to pupils with ALN to help them access learning and reach their full potential

  • Follow and implement strategies from Individual Development Plans (IDPs)

  • Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence

  • Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and social development

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

  • Assist with personal care where required (full training provided)

Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and can bring patience, adaptability, and empathy to the role.

Experience working with children or young people with SEN / ALN (desirable)
Calm, nurturing, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to different school settings and needs
Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential
Welsh language skills are advantageous but not required
