Semi-skilled Mechanical Workshop Engineer

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Semi – Skilled Mechanical Workshop Engineer based in our Service \& Repair team in our Lomondgate depot. As a Semi\- Skilled Mechanical Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out hands\-on servicing, maintenance, repairs, and fault finding, while also getting involved in basic installation and commissioning.

What you’ll do as a Semi\- Skilled Mechanical Workshop Engineer:

• Carry out fault finding, repairs, and load testing on diesel generators (20–2000kVA), including major engine overhauls


• Assess equipment condition on return from hire, completing upgrades, modifications, and improvements to maintain fleet quality


• Work across AC/DC electrical systems, supporting diagnostics, ECM programming, and control module configuration

You are:

• Educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering/mechanical subject


• Experience servicing, repairing large engines (generators, HGV, plant equipment, agricultural machinery)


• Good organisational \& communication skills


• Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications


• Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards
