Here at Aspire People, we are on the lookout for quality teaching assistants to join our wonderful partner school, based in Rugby, who provides high-quality education for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism spectrum conditions, and other complex learning profiles. The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and the wider multi-disciplinary team to support students both inside and outside the classroom. You'll play a key role in helping to deliver tailored learning, develop students' confidence, and encourage positive engagement with education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students in their learning and development across a range of subjects
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Providing 1:1 and small group interventions
- Assisting with planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons
- Contributing to a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN or SEMH setting
- A calm, compassionate, and patient approach
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students and staff
- A genuine passion for education and supporting vulnerable learners
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or willingness to work towards)
