Security Officer (Part-time)( Students and PSW)

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding promptly to emergencies. The Security Officer will play a vital part in maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and effective incident management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks


• Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism


• Respond swiftly to security incidents, including alarms, disturbances, or emergencies


• Provide first aid assistance when necessary, following established health and safety procedures


• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting purposes


• Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety standards


• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as required during incidents

Qualifications

• Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred


• Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques


• Basic first aid certification is desirable but not essential; training can be provided if necessary


• Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations


• Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrol duties


• Valid security licence or certification as required by local regulations is advantageous
