Security Guard

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be attentive, professional, and capable of monitoring various sites preventing injury and ensuring safety, vandalism, and unauthorised access. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where maintaining safety is paramount. The successful applicant will be trained in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies, contributing to the overall security operations.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks


• Monitor CCTV footage continuously to observe activity and respond promptly to suspicious behaviour


• Manage access control points, verifying credentials of visitors and staff as required


• Implement loss prevention measures by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting incidents appropriately


• Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, by providing first aid if necessary


• Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations during shifts


• Enforce site policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards


• Collaborate with local authorities or emergency services in case of serious incidents

Experience

• Prior experience in security or surveillance roles is advantageous but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided


• Familiarity with loss prevention methods is a plus


• Certification or training in first aid is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates


• Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail


• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally

Pay: £14\.00\-£16\.00 per hour
