We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Sales Assistants to join our team and help create a warm and memorable shopping experience for our customers this Christmas.
Royal Mile Silver is an independent Edinburgh jewellery business, established in 1997, specialising in beautifully designed silver jewellery with a wide product range covering Celtic and Viking designs, Tribal and designer jewellery.
Our Christmas Market stall is always a busy and exciting part of the festive season, and we’re looking for people who enjoy working with customers, being part of a team and getting into the Christmas spirit!
The Role
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll be part of our Christmas Market team, helping customers find the perfect piece of jewellery and making their shopping experience enjoyable from start to finish.
THE DETAILS
Pay: £14 per hour
Location: Edinburgh Christmas Market, East Princes Street Gardens (outdoor stall)
Contract: Temporary, approximately 2 months, from early November 2026 to early January 2027
Hours: Full\-time and part\-time positions available.
THE ROLE
Welcoming customers and providing friendly, attentive service
Helping customers choose jewellery and offering product advice
Processing sales and handling payments accurately
Keeping the stall, stock and displays clean, tidy and organised
Making sure products are correctly displayed, packaged and stored
Working as part of a small team in a busy, fast\-paced environment
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
\-Friendly, approachable and confident with customers
\-Reliable, punctual and responsible
\-Careful, accurate and have good attention to detail when handling jewellery and stock
\-Happy working as part of a small team
\-Comfortable working outdoors in cold weather
Experience in retail, sales, hospitality, events or customer service is desirable, but personality, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important.
