School Sports Coach (SEMH Behaviour Support)

£130 per day \| (5 days per week) \| Free CPD\-accredited training provided \| ASAP start \| Based in Charlwood

Aspira Education are recruiting people from a sports coaching background to work with pupils who have SEMH and ADHD behavioural difficulties in the within a PRU unit with pupils with complex behavioural needs such as SEMH.

This is a 5 day per week placement working:

8:15 \- 4:45 Monday, Wed, Thurs 8:15\-5:00 Tuesday 8:15\-4:00 Friday

About the Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant you will:

• Support pupils within small groups and on 1\-1, movement breaks, and structured activities to help regulate energy and re\-engage with learning.


• Utilise sport as a mode of intervention throughout the day to engage pupils back into the curriculum.


• Build strong, trusting relationships through consistency, calm communication, and positive reinforcement.


• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to maintain predictable routines and safe, supportive environments.


• Help the pupil develop resilience, confidence, and a sense of achievement through active, hands\-on strategies.


• Work in an inclusive school environment where every day brings opportunities to make a real impact.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants from backgrounds such as:

• Sports coaching, personal training, boxing coaching, youth sports clubs, or outdoor activity leadership


• Behavioural support, SEMH roles, or outreach work

You don’t need formal teaching qualifications or prior school experience, just the ability to stay calm under pressure, build rapport quickly, and use activity\-based approaches to support behaviour.

All Applicants Must Have

• The right to work in the UK


• A clear fully Enhanced DBS


• Two recent references


• A willingness to complete free online safeguarding training provided by Aspira Education


• Be able to start asap
