We are seeking a professional, organised, and welcoming School Receptionist to join a specialist SEN provision in Ealing. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff, ensuring the smooth daily running of the school office while supporting a positive and inclusive environment for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

School Receptionist- Key Responsibilities • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff, and external professionals.

  • Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and general enquiries in a professional and timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance logs, and administrative systems.

  • Support safeguarding procedures, including visitor sign-in and school security protocols.

  • Assist with day-to-day school administration tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.

  • Liaise with teaching staff, SENCOs, and leadership teams to support school operations.

  • Support communication between home and school, ensuring information is shared clearly and appropriately.

  • Help organise meetings, appointments, and school events when required.

  • Maintain a calm, welcoming, and professional reception area at all times.

School Receptionist- Requirements • Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or school office role (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT systems.

  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures (training can be provided).

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

School Receptionist-Desirable Skills and Experience • Experience working in a school or SEN setting.
  • Familiarity with school management systems (e.g., SIMS or Arbor).

  • Understanding of SEND environments and inclusive education settings.
