A well-established educational organisation is seeking an experienced School HR Administrator to join their HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who already has experience working within a school environment and understands the importance of compliance, safeguarding, and maintaining accurate employee records.
The successful candidate will support multiple sites, working closely with managers and employees to deliver a high-quality HR administration service across the full employee life cycle.
About the Role
This is a busy and varied position with a strong focus on:
- HR administration across the entire employee lifecycle.
- Managing compliance and safeguarding records.
- Supporting monthly payroll processes.
- Recruitment administration and onboarding.
- Maintaining accurate HR records and HR systems.
- Providing first-line HR support to employees and managers.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain employee records and ensure all HR data is accurate and up to date.
- Manage the Single Central Record (SCR) and ensure compliance documentation is audit-ready.
- Process and monitor DBS checks, references, right-to-work checks, overseas screening, and safeguarding requirements.
- Support visa and immigration compliance.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Assist with monthly payroll administration.
- Process employee changes, including salary amendments and benefits.
- Act as a key liaison between HR and Payroll teams.
- Support recruitment campaigns and interview coordination.
- Manage onboarding and new starter documentation.
- Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed before start dates.
- Support employee inductions and onboarding programmes.
- Handle day-to-day HR queries from employees and managers.
- Support absence management and family leave administration.
- Assist with employee relations administration where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.
