School-Based Support Assistant (SEN/SEMH) Bath, Somerset (BA2 & surrounding areas)
£90 – £105 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or support worker with a passion for helping children with additional needs?
We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bath (BA2) to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN and SEMH needs. This role is ideal for someone who can provide consistent, patient, and structured support to help children build confidence and engage positively with learning.
The Role You will support pupils who benefit from additional guidance and structure, including:
- Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
- Supporting small group interventions
- Helping pupils develop emotional regulation, confidence, and independence
- Using strategies to support behaviour, communication, and engagement
- Assisting the class teacher with general classroom support where appropriate
- Contributing to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
(e.g. schools, nurseries, youth work, sports coaching, holiday camps, care or support work)
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong relationship-building and behaviour management skills
- Ability to support pupils individually and in small groups
- A genuine commitment to supporting children with SEN/SEMH needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
