We can consider candidates from any region of Portugal, provided they are available to travel to Porto sporadically, only when truly necessary.
To be more specific, when necessary, the travel will be approximately 1 to 2 days per month. However, we emphasize that trips will only take place if they are effectively justified.
About the Role
A leading company in the Automotive Tech sector is looking for a SAP IT Tax Consultant to support and evolve tax\-related SAP solutions in an international environment.
This position is ideal for professionals with strong experience in SAP Tax processes, VAT reporting, eInvoicing, and SAP development (ABAP/OO, Fiori, BTP), working closely with business stakeholders to ensure compliant and efficient tax recording and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements, advising on functional and process\-oriented solutions
- Support the selection of software components and train business teams on best usage of SAP tax processes
- Independently design IT concepts based on business needs
- Develop and enhance SAP implementations for tax recording and tax reporting
- Create and improve custom SAP reports and interfaces
- Perform testing of programs, processes, and SAP system functions
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across international projects
Required Experience
- 3\+ years of relevant experience in SAP Tax / Finance environments
Functional Skills (Must Have)
- Strong knowledge of Accounting, including AR/AP sub\-ledgers and General Ledger
- Solid understanding of Tax Reporting and VAT concepts
- Familiarity with tax reporting and eInvoicing platforms (e.g., PEPPOL)
Technical Skills (Must Have)
- SAP Development: ABAP, ABAP OO, SAP Fiori, SAP BTP
- Strong experience developing custom reports and interfaces
- Configuration skills for tax determination in SAP (MM, SD) and tax codes in FI
- Integration with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (SAP DRC) (ECC or Cloud Edition) for eInvoicing exchange
Nice to Have
- Experience with third\-party tax tools such as:
- Sovos VAT Reporting
- Deloitte taxCube
- Vertex Tax Engine
