Overview
The SAP Functional Expert SD \& MM provides deep functional expertise in Sales \& Distribution and Materials Management. The role supports stable daily operations and continuous improvement by translating business requirements into SAP solutions, enabling early validation and reducing rework. The position acts as second‑level support and a functional backbone for logistics, supply chain and sales‑related processes.
Responsibilities
- Act as the functional expert and second\-level support for SAP SD and MM
- Analyze business requirements, incidents, and change requests, and translate them into effective SAP solutions
- Partner closely with process owners and stakeholders to improve business processes and system capabilities
- Support SAP enhancements, change requests, and incident resolution
- Prepare and support functional testing, UAT execution, and release activities
- Ensure accurate and up\-to\-date process documentation and provide knowledge transfer to key users
- Support master data management for material, customer, and vendor data by defining data requirements, validation rules, and quality checks
- Collaborate with external SAP partners on complex configurations, enhancements, and issue resolution
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of SAP governance, templates, standards, and best practices
- Support stable daily operations across logistics, procurement, and sales processes
- 5\+ years of hands\-on experience in SAP SD and MM in a functional or consulting role
- Strong customizing knowledge of SAP SD and MM, including procurement, inventory management, pricing, and sales processes
- Good understanding of end\-to\-end Procure\-to\-Pay and Order\-to\-Cash processes
- Experience in SAP implementations, rollouts, or major enhancement projects
- Good understanding of integration points with other SAP modules, particularly FI/CO, PS, and CS
- Experience working with business stakeholders in an international environment
- Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- SAP S/4HANA experience and/or SAP certification are strong advantages
- Fluent English; good German skills are an advantage
