Sales Support / Used Car Sales Executive (Trainee)

At Ideal Car Centre we are a small independent used car retailer looking for a hard working individual who thrives in a fast pace high pressure environment. We currently have a position available for Sales Support / Vehicle Preparation Specialist / Trainee Sales Executive which will also incorporate progress chaser and handover specialist roles as well.

This can be a position for someone already experienced in these areas or a trainee position for someone without the relevant experience. For people who also have relevant sales experience this will also incorporate Sales Executive duties. For those without relevant experience it will also incorporate training to transition into a Sales Executive role as well further down the line.

Duties for the role are mainly assisting the Sales Manager to ensure all cars are fully prepared and ready for sale in a timely and cost effective manner, including liaising with contractors and suppliers, and will also include some valeting of cars. Depending on experience the role will also incorporate a sales role and helping the business to ensure it meets sales and profitability targets. The role will also include preparing paperwork and handing over of cars to customers. The role includes admin and paperwork so the successful candidate will need to be computer literate and adept at basic word and excel functions as well as internet literate, in addition to be detail conscious and having outstanding customer service skills. The role will also include some driving duties. You will also be required to help display, advertise and photograph cars as well as valet them and keep them clean.

Dependent on experience, relevant training will be given and there is potential for candidates with the ability and aptitude to progress further.

The successful candidate will be self motivated, enthusiastic and hard working, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under their own initiative. Experience in the motor industry or sales is highly preferable but not essential for the right candidate, although a full driving licence is required. It is important to be detail focused and computer and internet literate including some basic use of excel and word.

In turn the successful candidate will be rewarded with an OTE of up to £48,000 which is uncapped so outstanding candidates can earn even more.

This is a full time role which will encompass working most weekends. The role is 6 days per week including Saturday and Sunday (shorter hours at weekends) with a day off during the week. There will also be 1 weekend off on a 4 weekly basis in addition to the day off during the week.
