Sales Support Team Leader

Full\-time, permanent

Salary up to £35,000 per annum

Reporting to the Administration Manager. The Sales Support Team Leader will be responsible for supervising a team of sales support administration staff and overseeing day\-to\-day operations to ensure orders, quotes and enquiries are processed effectively and efficiently within a timely manner.

Role purpose:

Monitoring and supervising the Sales Support team to address priorities and achieve day\-to\-day operational requirements to ensure all quotes, orders and queries are processed in a timely manner, complaints and errors are rectified accordingly and escalated if necessary. Organising, delegating, and overseeing completion of work. Managing queries and resolving issues, creating a positive and product environment, whilst escalating problems to the Administration Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand all stages of the sales operations process so that you can manage the performance and quality of work of the team.

  • Be the first point of contact for the Sales Support team, overseeing and allocating work to ensure efficient operations.

  • Monitor and manage all aspects of the shared inboxes as well as ‘hand on’ sales order processing to include prioritising work to ensuring this is carried out.

  • Monitor and escalate issues/errors/complaints from both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Perform daily and weekly reporting to provide insight on performance and ensure that all tasks re being carried out.

  • Monitor orders that are pending due to awaiting information.

  • Monitor communications with the team and with other teams – making sure all queries are actioned.

  • Drive communication within the team and with all other functions within the wider Sales Operations function, via Teams and verbally.

  • Collaborate closely with the Administration Manager on all work\-related matters.

  • Provide support to the Sales team and Management team, on any matters arising.

  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as required.

  • Deputise in the absence of the Administration Manager.
Skills \& experience:
  • Proven experience in a busy sales administration team within a similar environment.

  • Experience supervising or mentoring a small team where accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness are all critical. You will need to motivate, supervise, quality check and support the team.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, and comfortable providing feedback to colleagues.

  • Proficient IT skills, including advanced Microsoft Office suite of Word and Excel, together with experience using CRM or ERP systems.

  • The ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm.

  • Show initiative with the ability to work without supervision with impact and influence.

  • Numerical, logical and analytical in approach to work.

  • Detailed with high standards.
