Overview

We are a growing SME operating in the liquid roofing sector, seeking an organised and commercially aware Sales Support Executive to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the sales team. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day\-to\-day sales processes, accurate CRM management, and supporting revenue growth through proactive customer reactivation and account development.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Coordination \& Operational Support

  • Schedule meetings, site visits, and customer appointments for the sales team

  • Assist with diary management and travel arrangements

  • Support planning of exhibitions, trade shows, and marketing events

  • Coordinate sample requests and product dispatches
CRM System Management
  • Maintain and update the CRM system (e.g. tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions)

  • Ensure data quality and consistency across all sales records

  • Monitor sales pipeline activity and highlight gaps or risks to the sales manager

  • Generate regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards

  • Support the sales team in using CRM effectively and consistently

  • Identify opportunities to improve CRM processes and reporting

  • Use CRM data to support sales planning, forecasting, and performance reviews
Customer Reactivation \& Account Development
  • Identify lapsed, dormant, or inactive accounts within the CRM system and maintain an up\-to\-date tracking list

  • Proactively contact lapsed customers via phone and email to re\-establish relationships and understand reasons for inactivity

  • Record all interactions and outcomes within the CRM system to ensure accurate visibility of reactivation activity

  • Work with the sales team to prioritise high\-value or strategically important accounts for re\-engagement

  • Support targeted campaigns (e.g. pricing updates, product launches, promotions) aimed at reactivating customers

  • Gather feedback from former customers to identify trends, lost business reasons, and potential opportunities for improvement

  • Reintroduce relevant products, services, or new offerings aligned to customer needs

  • Where appropriate, generate and qualify leads from re\-engaged accounts and pass opportunities to the sales team

  • Track and report on reactivation success rates and pipeline contribution from lapsed accounts

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop structured reactivation campaigns and follow\-up processes

  • This area of responsibility will carry defined sales targets and reactivation KPIs
Sales Administration Support
  • Provide full administrative support to the sales team, including preparing quotations, proposals, and sales documentation

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently

  • Maintain up\-to\-date pricing, product, and customer information

  • Assist with tender submissions and project documentation where required

  • Coordinate internal communication between sales, production, and finance teams

  • Support the onboarding of new customers and accounts
Sales Team Expense Monitoring
  • Track and monitor sales team expenses in line with company policy

  • Review expense submissions for accuracy and completeness

  • Liaise with finance to ensure timely processing and reporting

  • Highlight any anomalies or areas of concern to management
Reporting \& Performance Tracking
  • Produce weekly/monthly sales performance reports

  • Track KPIs such as order intake, conversion rates, and customer activity

  • Provide insights to support decision\-making and sales strategy
Key Skills \& Experience
  • Previous experience in a sales support, customer service, or administrative role

  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Capsule, Salesforce, or similar)

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Proactive and self\-motivated

  • Team\-oriented with a positive, can\-do attitude

  • Commercially aware and customer\-focused

  • An entrepreneurial approach for new ideas to generate business for the sales team

  • Desirable \- Experience within construction, manufacturing, or roofing/building products
Reporting Line
  • Reports to: Sales Director
Pay: £25,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
