Sales Representative

Job Description

HVL are seeking a dynamic New Business Development sales assistant to join their team on a permanent basis to focus on the Water \& Gas sectors. You will be required to travel North/South of the U.K. plus stay over in Hotels if required. The purpose of the role is to help the client expand their market share by identifying business development opportunities;

Responsibilities

• Establish new client relationships and manage a number of existing key clients


• Demonstrate commercial and technical astuteness


• Development of sales campaigns and contribute to growth areas


• Articulate company's business proposition and communicate value proposition


• Secure contracts of various sizes Required experience


• Relevant Business Development experience with the Water \& Gas


• Self\-starter, able to work autonomously in developing their own strategy for business development


• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals


• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients


• Present, promote, and sell products/services to prospective customers


• Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions


• Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets


• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions


• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction


• Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity

Requirements

• Proven experience in sales, business development, or a similar role


• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills


• Target\-driven with a track record of achieving or exceeding goals


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Excellent organizational and time\-management skills


• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office (preferred)


• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred but not essential)


• Sound IT skills i.e. Excel, word and Powerpoint

Must have a full English license.

• Water Network Industry: 3 years (preferred)


• Valves (Gate valves, Penstock valves etc): 1 year (preferred)

• United Kingdom (required)

Willingness to travel:

• 100% (required)
