The Role

We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Marketing \& Sales Officer to join our team. This is a varied, hands\-on role that sits at the intersection of brand, student recruitment, and day\-to\-day school operations. You will split your time between driving growth for both the English Language School and the Business School (70%) and supporting the smooth running of administrative and operational functions (30%).

Key Responsibilities

Marketing \& Sales (70%)

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract domestic and international students to both the English Language School and the Business School

  • Manage and grow relationships with international recruitment agents, partner schools, and education agencies

  • Generate and follow up on leads through digital channels, events, webinars, education fairs, and direct outreach

  • Manage the school’s social media presence (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook) and create engaging content to promote courses and school life

  • Maintain and update the school website, ensuring course information, fees, and dates are accurate and compelling

  • Develop marketing materials including brochures, flyers, email campaigns, and digital ads

  • Track and report on recruitment KPIs, conversion rates, and campaign performance

  • Respond promptly to student enquiries via email, phone, and live chat, guiding prospective students through the admissions process

  • Support participation in UK and international education exhibitions and promotional events

  • Liaise with the British Council and other accrediting bodies on promotional initiatives where relevant
Administration \& Operations (30%)
  • Assist with student enrolment administration, including application processing, offer letters, and pre\-arrival communications

  • Maintain accurate student records in the school’s management information system

  • Support Visa and compliance administration, including preparation of CAS documentation and attendance monitoring

  • Coordinate timetabling and room booking in liaison with academic staff

  • Assist with course scheduling, inductions, and student orientation activities

  • Provide general administrative support to senior management as required

  • Liaise with Finance on invoicing, fee collection tracking, and agent commission schedules
Person Specification

Essential

  • Proven experience in marketing, sales, or student recruitment — ideally within the education, EFL, or Further Education (FE) sector

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Confident using digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and CRM/MIS systems

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • A proactive, results\-driven approach with a genuine enthusiasm for education

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close\-knit team
Desirable
  • Experience working with international student markets (Europe, Middle East, Asia, Latin America)

  • Knowledge of UK student visa requirements and UKVI compliance

  • Familiarity with Erasmus\+ or similar international mobility programmes

  • Proficiency in a second language

  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp) and Google Analytics
