Sales Manager - £35,000pa + Commission - Canvey Island

Our Canvey Island based client is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Sales Manager to join their growing business and play a key role in the next stage of its development. This hands-on leadership role requires someone who can build and develop a strong, high-performing sales team, increase revenue and market share and identify and open new markets and opportunities. The Sales Manager role involves: -

· Leading, developing, coaching and motivating the Sales Team whilst leading by example and remaining hands-on with customers and sales opportunities and working to sales targets and KPI’s.

· Developing and implementing practical sales / customer acquisition strategies to increase revenue and profitability, ensuring the team can clearly communicate our value to customers. Translate business objectives into clear, achievable sales plans.

· Identifying opportunities to grow sales with existing customers. Understanding customer needs, competitor activity and market trends and developing key customer and account relationships.

· Researching / identifying new markets, sectors and customer groups with growth potential.

· Monitoring sales performance and acting where targets are not being achieved.

· Building relationships with potential partners, distributors, customers and others.

· Analysing sales data, providing regular sales forecasts, performance updates and market insight.

· Identifying gaps, challenges and opportunities within the sales function.

· Recruiting and developing additional sales talent as the business grows.

What is required for the Sales Manager role: -

· Experience as a Sales Manager with a proven track record of delivering growth.

· A confident, professional and effective leader who enjoys developing people.

· Commercially aware and comfortable working with targets, KPIs and sales data.

· A self-motivated individual with strong communication and relationship building skills.

· Results-focused without losing sight of customer relationships and long-term growth.

· Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.

The working hours for this office-based role are 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
