Role Description

Par5 Escapes is seeking an ambitious and experienced Sales Manager to lead our growing Golf Travel sales team from our London office. This is a hands\-on leadership role combining personal sales responsibility with team management, coaching, and performance development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing and mentoring a team of Golf Travel Consultants, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences from enquiry through to booking.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a high\-performing sales team through coaching, mentoring, and regular performance reviews.

  • Setting individual and team sales targets, monitoring KPIs, and implementing action plans to achieve business objectives.

  • Conducting regular training sessions to improve sales techniques, product knowledge, customer service standards, and CRM usage.

  • Recruiting, onboarding, and supporting new team members as the business grows.

  • Prospecting and converting new business opportunities while maintaining a personal sales pipeline.

  • Managing inbound enquiries and converting customer interest into confirmed golf holiday bookings.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with individual clients, golf groups, travel agents, and corporate customers.

  • Preparing tailored golf holiday proposals and quotations across our portfolio of destinations.

  • Working closely with hotel, airline, transfer, and golf course partners to negotiate competitive rates and exclusive packages.

  • Collaborating with the Operations and Product teams to ensure smooth delivery of customer bookings.

  • Analysing sales performance data, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to improve conversion rates and profitability.

  • Monitoring market developments, competitor activity, and customer preferences to help shape future product offerings.
QualificationsEssential
  • Minimum 5 years experience within the travel, hospitality, golf, leisure, or sports tourism sectors.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales leadership, sales manager, or team leader role.

  • Proven experience managing, coaching, and developing a sales team.

  • Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive revenue growth.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • A proactive, results\-driven, and customer\-focused mindset.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast\-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of golf destinations, golf resorts, and golf travel products.

  • Experience recruiting, onboarding, and training sales staff.

  • Understanding of sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analytics.

  • Existing network within the golf, travel, or hospitality industries.

  • Passion for golf and an understanding of the golfer customer journey.
