Sales Manager
SUMMARY
The Sales Manager is responsible for generating room, meeting, event, and ancillary revenue by identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and maintaining existing accounts. The role focuses on driving corporate, group, MICE, leisure, and local business through proactive sales activities and implementing sales initiatives that support the hotel's commercial objectives.
Working closely with the General Manager, Revenue Management, Operations, and Wyndham commercial teams, the Sales Manager contributes to delivering revenue growth, market share, occupancy, guest satisfaction, and loyalty objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development \& Sales Activities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate, leisure, group, MICE, and local market segments.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, and site inspections.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective business opportunities.
- Build relationships with local companies, associations, event planners, and travel partners.
- Actively seek opportunities to increase market share and hotel visibility within the local market.
- Participate in networking events, trade shows, and sales missions as required.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing corporate and agency accounts.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key clients.
- Respond promptly to sales enquiries, RFPs, and lead opportunities.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts in line with company guidelines.
- Negotiate rates and business opportunities within approved parameters.
- Ensure accurate account information and sales activities are maintained within CRM systems and Wyndham platforms.
- Drive transient, corporate, group, conference, and leisure business.
- Support achievement of hotel occupancy, ADR, and revenue targets.
- Work closely with Revenue Management to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Track account production and identify opportunities for growth.
- Promote all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, meeting space, food and beverage outlets, and special packages.
- Participate in weekly commercial and forecast meetings.
- Work closely with Operations teams to ensure successful delivery of contracted business.
- Coordinate with Revenue Management regarding pricing strategies, market opportunities, and demand trends.
- Collaborate with Marketing on local promotions, events, and lead\-generation activities.
- Represent the hotel professionally within the local business community.
- Develop relationships with:
- Corporate clients

- Local businesses
- Event organisers
- Tourism organisations
- Chambers of commerce
- Sports and social associations
- Promote awareness of the hotel and Wyndham brand within the region.
- Maintain accurate sales records and account plans.
- Produce weekly and monthly sales activity reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators including:
- Revenue production
- Account performance
- Sales calls
- Lead conversion
- Business mix
- Provide market intelligence and competitor feedback to management.
- Ensure timely completion of all administrative and reporting requirements.
- Ensure all sales activities align with Wyndham brand standards and commercial strategies.
- Support Wyndham Rewards and other brand initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Represent Wyndham Hotels \& Resorts professionally at all times.

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2\-3 years of experience in hotel sales, business development, or a similar commercial role.
- Experience within an international branded hotel environment is highly desirable.
- Experience handling corporate, group, MICE, and leisure segments preferred.
- Sound understanding of hotel sales principles and market dynamics.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent German and professional English language skills are required.
- Eligibility to work in Germany.
