Partnered with the APC Overnight network since July this year, Direct Express Parcels Limited serves B2B and B2C clients across multiple sectors, managing shipments from under 1 kg to multi\-parcel consignments, including limited quantity hazardous goods and liquids, from our current facility based on Fallside Industrial Estate in Bothwell.
Our partnership with APC, our core business, gives us coverage of Glasgow \& Paisley postcodes, one of the largest regions in the network, with an already extensive client base we are looking to grow our presence in the region in 2026\.

APC has recently been acquired by the WS Group and with substantial investment already taking place and with a rebrand just launched, it is a really good time to be partnering with the UK's largest independent parcel network.
Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated full\-time Business Development Manager, either currently in a similar role or an experienced account manager looking to step up into this role. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, conducting market research, and contributing to sales strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to understand their logistics needs, collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions, and drive growth through proactive prospecting and client engagement. Priority will be given to those candidates that have current Logistical backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Business Development, Sales, and Account Management
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship\-building skills
- Analytical mindset with experience in Market Research and Strategic Planning
- Understanding of logistics, supply chain, and 3PL services
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Pay: £35,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
