Sales Executive
We are recruiting for an experienced Sales Executive to join a growing organisation within the education sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong sales background who enjoys developing new business, building relationships with schools and presenting education focused products and services.
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent
Salary: 35,000 + 10,000 OTE
Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, an additional day off for your birthday, employer pension contribution, company away days and the opportunity to work from home following training and subject to manager approval.
About the role
As Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing relationships with schools across your region, generating new business opportunities and managing the sales process from initial contact through to conversion.
You will engage with school leaders and decision makers by telephone, email and video meetings, understand their requirements and recommend suitable education programmes and solutions.
The role will also involve delivering product demonstrations, managing your pipeline through a CRM system and attending education events where required.
Key responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities within schools
- Develop strong relationships with school leaders and decision makers
- Manage leads and opportunities through the sales pipeline
- Deliver engaging online and face to face product demonstrations
- Work towards individual and team sales targets
- Upsell and cross sell additional products and services
- Attend relevant education events and exhibitions
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer handover
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Support schools in understanding how the products and resources can benefit them
We are looking for someone with:
- At least three years sales experience
- Strong new business development experience
- Experience selling into schools or the wider education sector would be highly advantageous
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Confidence presenting and delivering product demonstrations
- Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A proactive and self motivated approach
- An interest in education and improving outcomes for children
