Industrial heat represents nearly 50% of global energy consumption, making it one of the most critical frontiers in the energy transition. Kyoto’s Heatcube thermal battery stores renewable electricity as heat and delivers it when needed, allowing industries to fully leverage variable renewable energy sources such as wind and solar.

About the role

Embark on a thrilling professional adventure as the Sales Director for Central Europe. Take charge of steering regional business development and commercialisation efforts, collaborating closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and the dedicated commercial team.

This role is ideally based in our Oslo Office in Norway and requires travel to meet customers, prospects, and other stakeholders. On an exceptional basis, we might consider candidates based in other countries in Central Europe.

Responsibilities


  • Identifying key players and decision\-makers within relevant industries and targeted accounts.

  • Generating interest and demand for Kyoto's innovative Heatcube in the specified industries.

  • Establishing a robust pipeline of commercial opportunities for Heatcube.

  • Building and nurturing customer relationships with targeted accounts.

  • Ensuring Kyoto Group's participation in all relevant Request for Quotations (RFQs).

  • Prepare and submit high\-quality bids and offers in a timely manner.

  • Providing valuable industry insights to Kyoto's product development team.

  • Actively participate and contribute market insights in strategic discussions within the commercial team.

Required skills \& experiences


  • Relevant experience in business development and commercial roles, focusing on solution sales.

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to execute initiatives effectively.

  • A 'can\-do' attitude, customer focus, and self\-management skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills and storytelling capabilities.

  • University/college degree in commercial and/or relevant technical fields.

  • 10\+ years of experience in similar roles such as Sales or Bid Manager.

  • Experience in the energy sector and/or heat\-intensive industry.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical capabilities, commercial instinct, and problem\-solving skills.

  • Fluent in English and one other European language.
