Vention is hiring a Sales Development Representative to help grow our UK business from our London office.

We work with VC\-backed startups, scaleups, unicorns, and enterprise clients to build dedicated software engineering teams and deliver custom software solutions. This is a high\-impact outbound sales role where you’ll identify and engage founders, CTOs, engineering leaders, product leaders, and other senior decision\-makers across the UK market.

You’ll be responsible for creating new conversations, booking qualified meetings, and building pipeline for our business development team.

What you’ll do
  • Prospect and engage potential clients through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, events, and other outbound channels

  • Research target accounts and identify relevant decision\-makers, including founders, CTOs, Heads of Engineering, product leaders, and business stakeholders

  • Build personalised outbound campaigns based on company growth, hiring needs, technology challenges, and potential demand for software development support

  • Qualify leads by understanding their business needs, technical challenges, growth plans, and fit for Vention’s services

  • Book qualified meetings and create new opportunities for the business development team

  • Attend industry events, tech meetups, and networking opportunities to generate new relationships

  • Track all activity, lead information, and next steps accurately in the CRM

  • Consistently work towards weekly and monthly KPIs, including outbound activity, meetings booked, qualified opportunities, and pipeline generated
What we’re looking for
  • 1\+ year of experience in an SDR, BDR, business development, recruitment, staffing, IT services, SaaS, or B2B sales role

  • Proven experience with outbound prospecting, including cold calls, email, and LinkedIn outreach

  • Confidence engaging senior decision\-makers and starting commercial conversations

  • Strong written communication skills and ability to personalise outreach

  • Interest in technology, software development, digital products, or complex B2B services

  • Comfortable working to KPIs and managing your own pipeline of prospects

  • Resilient, curious, proactive, and motivated by progression in sales
Nice to have
  • Experience in software development services, IT consulting, staffing, recruitment, staff augmentation, or complex SaaS

  • Understanding of offshore / nearshore delivery models or dedicated engineering teams

  • Experience selling or prospecting into CTOs, founders, engineering leaders, product leaders, or technology teams

  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Apollo, Salesloft, Outreach, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
