Sales Development Representative
Role Description
This is a full\-time hybrid role for a Sales Development Representative
based in London. The Sales Development Representative will identify new business opportunities, engage with potential clients, and generate leads to support the sales leadership team. Key responsibilities include conducting outbound prospecting, building relationships with prospective clients, and scheduling meetings for senior sales executives. The role requires proactive communication, collaboration with the broader sales and business development team, and meticulous reporting on sales pipeline activities.
What you’ll be doing
- working with leadership to shape target sectors and ideal prospect profiles
- building and refining your own account list within those agreed sectors prospecting through cold calling, email, and LinkedIn
- researching companies and stakeholders before outreach
- booking meetings with relevant decision\-makers
- contributing to LinkedIn activity and helping build market presence keeping CRM and pipeline activity accurate and well managed
✅ minimum 6 months’ SDR experience in a SaaS environment with outbound responsibility
✅ confidence in cold calling — this is essential!
✅ comfortable owning outbound activity and working proactively
able to build and refine a target account list with direction and support from leadership
✅ strong written and verbal communication skills
✅ good commercial awareness and an interest in how businesses buy software services
✅ motivated, organised, and willing to learn
✅ Ability to work independently, and collaborate in a team\-oriented environment due to the hybrid nature of the role
What good looks like in this role
- You understand that strong outbound is not just about activity. It is about targeting the right accounts, saying something worth hearing, and building credibility with senior people.
- You should be comfortable picking up the phone, doing the research, improving your messaging, and taking ownership of your results.
- This role will suit someone who wants to become a serious B2B seller. It will not suit someone looking for a heavily scripted role.
£35k basic increasing to 38k upon successful completion of probation period.
