Graduate Sales \& Marketing Executive

Want a graduate job where you actually get to make a difference?

Forget spending your first few years filling in spreadsheets and waiting for someone to tell you what to do.

Code A Weld is looking for an ambitious, creative and commercially minded graduate to help us build our brand, create content and win new customers.

This is a new role within the business, so you'll have the opportunity to help shape what it becomes.

You'll work across social media, video, content creation, sales and business development.

And you'll be given the opportunity to learn as you go.

Who are Code A Weld?

Code A Weld is an established specialist welding testing laboratory working with companies across the UK and internationally.

We work with manufacturers, engineering companies, fabricators and some very recognisable businesses.

We're ambitious and growing and we want to become much more visible within our industry.

That's where you come in.

What will you actually be doing?

A bit of everything.

One day you could be filming a video in our laboratory.

The next you could be visiting a customer.

The day after that you could be researching a competitor, finding out who their customers are and working out how we can introduce Code A Weld to them.

You'll be helping us build a modern, recognisable brand within the engineering and welding industry.

Social Media \& Content

You'll help take Code A Weld's social media presence to another level.

You'll work across:

  • LinkedIn

  • Instagram

  • YouTube

  • Other platforms that make sense for our audience
You'll create content such as:
  • Short videos

  • Reels

  • YouTube videos

  • Behind\-the\-scenes content

Don't worry if you haven't done all of this before.

We'll help you learn.

What we're really looking for is somebody who has ideas and isn't afraid to have a go.

Become one of the faces of Code A Weld

We're planning to develop regular video content and potentially a Code A Weld podcast/video series.

You could be involved in:

  • Coming up with ideas

  • Finding interesting people to interview

  • Filming

  • Presenting

  • Editing

  • Publishing

  • Promoting the content
You don't need to be a professional presenter.

You just need to be comfortable talking to people and willing to get in front of a camera.

The Sales Side

This isn't just a marketing job.

We want our marketing to generate real business.

You'll learn how to:

  • Research potential customers

  • Identify companies we want to work with

  • Build prospect lists

  • Contact prospective customers

  • Write sales emails

  • Make outbound calls

  • Arrange meetings

  • Follow up opportunities

  • Use our CRM

  • Understand the sales process

  • Develop relationships with customers
You'll gradually take on more responsibility as your experience grows.

You'll also have the opportunity to get out of the office and meet customers and prospects.

And yes... we'll be targeting competitors

We're not going to sit back and wait for new customers to find us.

We'll identify businesses that currently use other testing laboratories and introduce them to Code A Weld.

You'll help us research the market, identify opportunities and develop campaigns to win new business.
