Sales and Logistics Administrator
Overview
A sales\-focused administrative role supporting the commercial team in a specialist steel stockholding and cutting business. The primary purpose is to keep the sales function running efficiently: processing orders, managing customer relationships day\-to\-day, and freeing up the sales team to focus on growing accounts. Trade counter sales / cash sales and logistics coordination is part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
1\) Sales Support (primary focus)
Process customer orders and quotations accurately
Act as first point of contact for customer queries on pricing, availability, and lead times
Prepare quotations and follow up on outstanding quotes to help convert enquiries into orders
Maintain and update ERP system ensuring quotations are accurate and current
Support the sales team with account administration, reporting, and pipeline tracking
Help identify re\-order opportunities and lapsed accounts from order history
Assist with preparing sales data/reports for management
Build strong working relationships with regular customers to support retention
2\) Logistics \& Dispatch
Coordinate inbound deliveries from mills and suppliers and checking against purchase orders
Assist goods in and out coordinator with deliveries
Prepare delivery dockets and invoices when required
Track shipments and proactively update customers on delays
3\) Stock \& Systems
Update the ERP system on stock adjustments etc when necessary
Purchasing reports to flag low stock or slow\-moving lines to
4\) Compliance \& Admin
Ensure documentation complies with customs requirements for cross\-border movements (ROI/NI/GB)
Maintain ERP system with mill certs matched to receipt of material
Manage CBAM requirements
Requirements
2\+ years in a sales support, internal sales, or customer service role (steel or industrial distribution preferred)
Strong customer\-facing communication skills, comfortable owning customer relationships
Strong Excel/ERP system skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Commercially minded and able to spot opportunities
Pay: €32,000\.00\-€35,000\.00 per year
