Sales and Events Manager
Aston Wood Golf Club is situated in a beautiful location within the town of Sutton Coldfield. We are looking to recruit a full time Sales and Events Manager to join our friendly team. We have an exceptional golf course, restaurant and 2 function rooms available, offering both private and corporate services.
Our Fotherley function suite can hold up to 180 people.
We have an experienced and very friendly team, who enjoy working together to achieve complete customer satisfaction.
This role requires a high standard of customer service, and an exceptional attention to detail.
Our aim is to become the number one events venue within the area, delivering a high standard of service within a professional but friendly environment.
Although this is target driven role, you will be given the freedom and flexibility to decide on the methodology and operation to achieve the required sales results.
Job Summary
Responsible to Senior Management
You will be required to –
· Generate Sales for both private and corporate and track progress against set targets
· Track new enquiries and deal with existing clients using the in\-house software BRS
· Help plan weddings/events with clients
· Work closely/hands on with the Events Team for the delivery of all events
· Available to work most weekends
Key Responsibilities
· Understand the positioning of the Golf Club, services provided and how the Golf Club can meet the needs of customers.
· Understands the cost/benefits of prospective business.
· Apply sales techniques into every day customer contact to gain maximum conversion of business
· Following up on enquiries and converting to appointments and achieving the final sale
· Processing bookings, contracts and handling payments
· Building a relationship with clients and liaising with them regarding final details, menu choices, packages etc. including maximising upgraded items
· Advising clients of wedding customs, etiquette and logistics
Knowledge, Skills \& abilities
· Previous experience within a similar role is essential together with competent IT skills and full knowledge of Microsoft Office. The successful applicant must have a fundamental desire to achieve and meet sales targets, be proactive, well organised and professional at all times.
· This post requires the candidate to be flexible and dedicated to the hospitality profession. The ability to work in a high\-pressure environment to meet your deadlines is essential.
· Demonstrate an ability to communicate with and understand the needs of clients, colleagues and other departments
· Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritise needs and effectively manage resources and time.
