Support the sales team by managing customer enquiries from initial contact through to quotation, order processing and after-sales support, via phone, email and live chat.
This role would suit someone who is organised, customer-focused and confident communicating with both customers and suppliers. The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities and working at pace in a busy sales environment.

- Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email, live chat and web, providing information on products, pricing, stock and lead times.
- Prepare and amend accurate customer quotations, checking pricing, margins, carriage costs and product availability.
- Qualify customer requirements, identify sales opportunities and pass relevant leads to the appropriate Account Manager.
- Process customer orders accurately, checking purchase orders against quotations and managing any amendments, cancellations or queries.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, stock availability, lead times and product specifications, sourcing suitable alternatives where required.
- Keep customers updated throughout the sales and order process, including quotations, stock availability, deliveries and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate customer, quotation and order information on the CRM system, supporting credit applications, pro-forma invoices and general account administration.
- Provide day-to-day support to Account Managers, including customer follow-ups, prospecting, meeting preparation, reporting and general sales administration.
- Substantial and proven experience within sales administration, customer service, order processing or a similar commercial role.
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of skills and experience.
- Excellent telephone manner with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident communicating with customers and suppliers via phone, email and live chat.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel; CRM/ERP experience would be advantageous.
- Good commercial awareness, with an understanding of pricing, costs and margins. Proactive and self-sufficient, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
