Main duties of the job

To undertake duties governed by the contract and Direct and Local Enhanced Services comprising a variety of duties, including face to face surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.

About us

Spring House Medical Centre are looking for a salaried GP to join our team for 2 to 4 sessions a week. We are a SystmOne practice. We have good on\-site parking and transport links.

This role will work under the clinical supervision a specific GP at the practice.

There is a wide socio\-economic and demographic served within this area which will provide an interesting and varied case mix. The role will contribute to improving quality of patient care across the network of practices.

Job responsibilities

To undertake duties governed by the contract and Direct and Local Enhanced Services including:

A variety of duties including face to face surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home and at our care home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, queries, routine clinical administration including reviewing test results, referrals and actioning clinical correspondence in a timely fashion

Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self\-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation

Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems

Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Pay: From £13\.00 per hour
