Route Planner

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail\-oriented Route Planner to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing efficient delivery routes using our planning system, managing scheduling, and ensuring optimal utilisation of resources. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong management, driving, and organisational skills to contribute to our supply chain operations. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in relevant IT tools, including Microsoft Office applications. Duties

• Develop and optimise delivery routes using advanced planning software


• Coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff to ensure timely deliveries


• Analyse logistical data to identify efficiencies and improve route planning processes


• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding scheduling adjustments or issues


• Manage multiple schedules simultaneously while prioritising urgent deliveries


• Provide leadership and guidance to team members involved in route execution


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during planning and execution phases

Experience

• Proven experience in management, logistics, or supply chain roles is preferred


• Strong driving background with valid driving licence required


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential


• Knowledge of IT systems related to route optimisation and fleet management highly desirable


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively


• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal


• Experience in customer service environments is advantageous


• Computer literacy combined with analytical skills to interpret logistical data
