Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Manage Invesco’s EMEA equity risk team in partnership with Global Head of Equity Risk.
- Serve as the lead risk manager for a set of global equity strategies run out of Henley\-on\-Thames.
- Develop and maintain trust\-based partnerships with portfolio managers in EMEA, acting as a resource for equity risk thought leadership.
- Implement the global equity risk framework for EMEA, including allocation of daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc responsibilities to team members, establishing processes, and ensuring the smooth running of the equity risk program in Henley.
- Proactively monitor market risk, liquidity risk, and emerging risks, identify portfolios with significant exposures, engage and alert PMs, and escalate risks to senior risk leaders and CIOs as needed.
- Stay current with daily market developments and news impacting financial markets, performing ad hoc exposure analyses proactively or at the request of senior management.
- Conduct regular risk meetings with PMs, including in\-depth risk analysis with support from risk analysts, and create high\-quality decks that deliver value\-added insights and effective challenge to the Investments team.
- Participating in deep\-dive Investment Quality Reviews (IQRs) for selected strategies in collaboration with the IQR team in Investment Risk
- Leverage performance attribution innovatively within the risk process to provide insights into the investment process, beyond standard reporting.
- Provide thought leadership on the development of new risk models, analytics, and dashboards, collaborating across regional risk teams on ad hoc portfolio risk research projects as needed.
- Be hands\-on in creating decks and, prototyping risk analysis, quantitative concepts, and data manipulation, when required.
- Represent the risk team in client meetings focused on EMEA equity strategies.
- Lead and conduct risk analysis for new equity products.
